Kitchen

The stable door that will eventually be here is still at the design stage.  This is a very wide door and we are just trying to get it right.  So, in the meantime it is boarded up!

En suite!

The beginnings of the wiring for the cupboard space in the upstairs en suite......We are having the washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board etc upstairs.

Pointing in Library

All Del's work!  This is the inside wall of the library - light on the right shining through today!

Steps and pipes

This tiny area of the whole development has caused more headaches than anything else!  At last we have decided to chop away a part of it so that the finished floor level doesn't stand above the window base.  This way, only the very first section (nearest) will be a different level and the curtains will have to be cut accordingly.  The structure to the right of the picture is the en suite to this bedroom.  It was actually have a large shower rather than a bath.   Lovely room this one is going to be.....the room with the view!

Only wish I had a sledge or an oven tray up there - would have been fun!

Snowy scenes

The builders are all in there complaining about the cold and putting on heaters!  Lots happening - first fit electrics finished and wall lining coming on a pace.  We should be plastering soon.  Vicky (angel from York) came over yesterday and we have sorted kitchen and floorings, curtains and loads more.  It is at this stage that it all becomes very exciting.   Would be nice to get a buyer for Ewerby but, hey ho, can't have it all!

Doorway?

That's not going to keep out intruders Del!!

Wires, wires and more wires!

I just hope someone knows where they are going to end up!!

View room!

We will be (well, not me actually!) beginning to plaster in this end bedroom next week.... The light on the wall is just a reflection from the sunset of the windows out to the garden

Carport in the making!

There will be an outside loo/sink plus welly washing sink and separate room for heating equipment on the right and the left side will be for the car!

Well, it's been a while since I posted anything.  What with having Amy and Violette here for the last 7 weeks and then a rather hectic Christmas and new year I don't seem to have had much time to get up to the barns.  It is manic up there at the moment.  Joiners, electricians and, of course, the main man, Del are all busy making this shell of a barn into a home.
