more roof work

Tiles are coming off over what will be a study/bedroom - I think this will be one of the nicest rooms as it faces south and will have glazed doors so will be really light.  Haven't decided whether or not to put a bathroom in here (there is one on the plans but we are not really into ensuites!).

With the scaffolding gone, we should see some real progress now...Floors to be concreted, the small roof to be re-trussed and tiled followed by the other two roofs and then generally clearing up the site ready for the gardeners to move in at the end of July -  exciting stuff!

Bibby visit

Poor Bibs!  She nearly blew away in the gales!

Noreen at the barns!

Well, look at the Sunshine!  Where did that come from?  I think we had a rather nice lunch at Caythorpe that day.......and Noreen sorted out most of Carlton Scroop residents problems!!

Progress

Well, here we are in May in the middle of the wettest drought in history!  I think we will have enough water for a few years in the holding tank half way down the field which we intend to attach a pump to in order to give us plant watering water for ever.....

The main section of roof is finished now and I am hoping the scaffolding will be gone very soon.  The door is emerging from kitchen to glazed link which is exciting and the next major part of work will be the section of roof at the front of the building.  That will be completed this month.

Floors will be concreted soon.  This will give us a much better feel of the overall space and layout.

Look at that view!
